"Self is Kutastha Caitanya --- immutable witness Consciousness of the inner organs."----Sri Sri Babathakur

Sri Sri Babathakur the personification of the Kutastha Caitanya the immutable witness Consciousness in order to spread the infinite glory of the Kutastha Caitanya has assumed His mortal frame. The body is essential to interact with the jivas or the monads to help them accept the reality, as it is; through speech and practical demonstration. Without the body this is impossible. So, in every age it is found that when God the almighty or the Kuthastha Caitanya appears in this mundane world He uses His mortal frame as a mouth-piece to spread His Divine Message for the upliftment of the monads or jivas from their suffering and miseries of sensual or mundane existence.
Sri Sri Babathakur says that the Kutastha Caitanya or the Consciousness-Absolute or the immutable witness Consciousness is the only and the basic substratum of the entire phenomenal universe, the creation as a whole. Being the only background, It is the immutable witness of the inner organs viz. the mind, the ego, the intellect, the mind-stuff. In actuality from the other way round the inner organs and their functioning owe their very existence to the Consciousness-Absolute or the Kutastha Caitanya the Witness-Absolute. He says, if consciousness is absent then how could it be known that anything exists at all. To know or to know not anything the role of consciousness is essential. The proof of this lies within the statement only. Who is saying that I know, or I do not know? Obviously the I is telling. Who is this I? Obviously it is the symptom of consciousness pulsating as jiva or monad. The collective or the universal expression of the I is the Absolute-I or the Absolute-Consciousnes, the Kutastha Caitanya, the immutable witness Consciousness
