"Consciousness without I and mine is the Absolute."----Sri Sri Babathakur
Swasamvedya Swanubhavadeva Sri Sri Babathakur who is none else than the manifestation of the Absolute in reality, tells that Consciousness without I and mine is the Absolute. According to Him I and mine are like the umbra and penumbra of the of the real object(the sun or the moon)during eclipse. It is an established fact that umbra and penumbra are only shadow and shadows of the shadow of the real object and can never be the real being. But, umbra and penumbra are absolutely dependent on the real being the sun or moon for their very existence. That means, had there been no sun or moon umbra and penumbra could never be dream t of at all.
Therefore, He says, the real being is the source, substratum, the background of the apparent beings the umbra and the penumbra, which in their turn are completely dependent on the real being the sun or the moon for their very existence and thinking of their independent existence is like building castle in the air.
Similarly, Sri Sri Babathakur points out that the very existence of the jivas or the monads or creatures in the creation is absolutely dependent on the Real Existence, the Absolute Existence ' I ', which is the Consciousness Absolute. The source of multitudes and multitudes of universes on the bosom of the only reality the Consciousness Absolute, the Godhead Absolute.
This Consciousness is without I and mine, which are nothing but its shadow and shadows of shadow only of the Absolute Consciousness.
