Panacea for present-time crises--3
"Pleasure and bliss are not one."-- Sri Sri Babathakur.
If we take a deeper look into the life of common people and even consider people who are further developed than common man we will see that most of them are running after PLEASURE considering it to be BLISS due to fault of intellect. Alas! few people at present are able to differentiate between the two. Sri Sri Babathakur points out this fact. He says that pleasure pertains to physical body, therefore, related to matter hence mutable but, bliss pertains to spirit, therefore, divine and immutable.
It is often found that people lay their small fortune to purchase pleasure, which for certain does not lasts long and therefore become the source of sorrow, agony, pain etc. On the contrary, bliss is not purchasable. It is the driving force behind every action of each and every human being. The Vedanta's august proclamation is that the entire creation emerges from bliss, lives in bliss and again dissolves in bliss.
To evolve out of the present-time cries people for certain have to change themselves, i.e. they must learn to shed their passion for matter and have to embrace divinity, which is inseparable from bliss. He says every man has birth right to evolve to his true nature which is divinity. Being oblivious about his true nature man is involved in his apparent nature i.e. worldliness, his mundane existence.
Sri Sri Babathakur says that through cultivating divine practice and shunning material practice sincerely in life under the guidance of Guru (the Great Master) an ordinary man can reach the acme of spiritual perfection in life. After reaching the zenith of spiritual perfection a man would outwardly look to be the same as before but his attitude towards life will change completely. This will become obvious in his action
